Online entry closes 21:00 on the Thursday before the race. Sign-on at the track before 10am; racing follows.

Four steps and you're on the gate. Entry is online only, capped at 300 riders per round.
GET BRITISH CYCLING MEMBERSHIP
Every rider needs BC membership plus at least a provisional race licence — it's free with membership, and under-16s join free for their first year. No licence, no race.
ENTER ONLINE AT BRITISH CYCLING
Registration is via British Cycling's online system only — no paper, phone or on-the-day entry. Entry is capped at 300 riders per round, so don't leave it late.
BEAT THE DEADLINE
Entries close at 21:00 on the Thursday before each race. You can withdraw until 21:00 on the Friday before the event — after that, a no-show means no refund.
SIGN ON AT THE TRACK
On race day, sign on at the admin gazebo next to the track (the commentator will announce where). All novices — or a parent/guardian if you're 17 or under — must sign on before 10am. Experts register by riding the track. Not signed in by 10:30? You're classed as a no-show. No group sign-ons.

Your category is based on 2027 minus your year of birth. Riders must be 4 in 2027 to compete. Categories with fewer than 5 riders may be merged; novice girls race with novice boys of the same age but are separated in series results and prize-giving.

No helmet, no gloves, no race. Here's the mandatory checklist.

- Long-sleeved top (Experts: rip-resistant BMX race top)
- Gloves
- Jeans or BMX race pants — no tracksuit bottoms
- 20" or 24" BMX, or jump bike up to 26" wheels
- Number plate with the last 3 digits of your BC number
- Experts: working MyLaps transponder (novices race without)
Series Rules
All riders must hold British Cycling membership and at least a valid provisional race licence (free with membership). No licence = no race. Under-16s join free for their first year.
Good To Know
- Race 4 of 6 rounds as a novice for an end-of-series award; your best 4 results count.
- Payback podium: £100 / £60 / £40 — needs 6+ riders to pay out.
- Host clubs provide parking and basic catering where possible — bring your own food and drink, and park considerately.
- Volunteer-run series — speak to race admin if you want to help out.
